William Clifton Turner III, 76, a resident of Sedona died June 7, 2003. Mr. Turner served in the Navy during WWII where he sank a Japanese sub. He receieved a PhD in metallurgical engineering and had a successful career in this line, After his retirement he started a business to aid oil production and registered several patents on this process. Mr. Turner was an avid birder, he loved birds and nature and belonged to the Audubon Society. He is survived by his wife, Bobby L. Turner; a daughter, Karen Kensing of Chino Valley and a son, Brad Turner of Wiggins, Colorado; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. There are no public services planned. Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family with these arrangements.
