Wendy Lee Lienhart

May 16, 1960 — December 19, 2021

Wendy Lee Lienhart, 61 of Cottonwood, passed away on December 19, 2021. She was born on May 16, 1960 in Lansing, MI to David and Marilyn Chalmers

Wendy came to Arizona in 1979 where she met and married David Lienhart, the father of her two oldest children (Jennifer and Amy). Even after their divorce she was always a part of the family and she and her youngest son (Tyler) were always invited to family get-togethers. Extremely selfless, Wendy would find a way to help anyone in need and made sure to always provide for her children and pets even in struggling times. Everyone who met Wendy was sure to find a friend in her. She was funny, quick witted, kind, caring, smart, and generous. She was a devoted friend of many, a devoted mother to her 3 children, Grandmother to her 2 granddaughters (Amelia Melody Vargo, age 15 and Evelyn Lee Lienhart, age 2) and a “bonus mom” to many of her children's friends who all referred to her as Mama Wendy. Wendy always had a special love for animals. In her younger years she cared for horses and other farm animals. She loved her cats, birds, dogs, snakes and even hedgehogs. She was good at everything she put her mind to and was very versatile in the work industry, everything from bartending/serving, cashiering, caretaking to Managing establishments but by far her favorite job was working at the pet store (The Pet Kingdom in Cottonwood, AZ) as she was most passionate about caring for animals.

She will forever be missed by so many who loved her dearly.

Wendy was preceded in death by her sister Deborah Chalmers-Hager. She is survived by her son Tyler James Lienhart of Sedona; daughters Jennifer Rose Lienhart and Amy Nicole Lienhart both of Cottonwood; sister Elizabeth Dexter and 2 grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time but a celebration of life will be held in the near future.
