Wayne G. Shimer

Wayne G. Shimer, 76, of Cottonwood died May 31. He was born May 9, 1927 in Murdo, South Carolina. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Emmanuel Fellowship in Cottonwood and the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Rapid City, South Dakota. He leaves his wife of 55 years, Audrey Shimer; two daughters, Jerolyn Gibson of Rapid City, South Dakota and Cleo Ripley of Phoenix; a sister, Deloris Dolly of Presko, South Dakota; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd in the Emmanuel Fellowship in Cottonwood. Another memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7th in the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Rapid City, South Dakota at 2:00 P.M.
