Rosie Petersen-Elijah, 73 of Cottonwood, passed away on October 15, 2014 in Phoenix. She was born on November 18, 1940 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Valentine and Clara Wagner (nee Iverson). Rosie worked as a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist). Rosie enjoyed gardening, horses, motorcycle riding and traveling. She was quick with a smile, a dedicated and loving wife and soft-hearted mother and grandmother. Rosie is survived by her husband of 25 years Roger "Doc" Elijah of Cottonwood; son Jon Petersen (Susan) of Bristow, VA; brothers Ron Wagner and Noel Wagner; sisters Priscilla Wagner and Kathy Kene and 2 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 1:00pm at Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave in Cottonwood.
