On May 30, 2026, Becky passed away peacefully with her loving husband by her side.
Born to Leland and Nancy Arthur on August 4, 1962 in Phoenix, AZ., where she spent her first six years. At age 7, her family relocated to the Verde Valley to Cornville. It was here in Cornville she fell in love with animals, especially with her horses, Goose and Martini. She became an avid barrel racer, becoming one of the best in the state.
She graduated from Mingus Union High School in 1980, where she was also a member of the Pom-pom line.
For over 23 years she was employed by Safeway, working in the Produce department, always having an eye for color and perfection.
In 2010, she met the love of her life, Ralph Romero, who she married 5 years later and creating memories together for over 16 years.
She will be remembered by all for her heart of gold and her captivating smile. She will be forever in our hearts.
Beck is survived by her spouse, Ralph Romero of Camp Verde, by her mother, Nancy Smith (John) of Cottonwood,, Brothers Dr. James Arthur (Judi) of Cottonwood, Steve and Rick Smith both of Seattle, three nephews whom she adored, and 10 grandchildren that she adopted and cared for as her own when she married her spouse Ralph Romero.
She is preceded in death by her father, Leland Arthur.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
