Pauline Marie Vera

Pauline Marie Vera, dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on February 13, 2026 at the young age of 68. She was born on August 19, 1957 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Margaret and Victor Castillo. Miss Pauline's smiling face and joyful personality touched so many lives in this community since moving here in 1987. Her presence was larger than life, and her friends and family refer to her as sunshine. She was loved by everyone that her positive light touched. She always had a kind word and a helpful hand to lend to anyone that crossed her path. You might remember her big hair, loud voice, and infectious laughter after 25 years at Bashas. It was really her heart for community and giving to others that changed so many lives. Pauline spent her retirement years helping organize estate sales, hunting for antiques, and restoring them. She lived life to the fullest every day beside the love of her life David Vera, whom she lost on December 25, 2025 after 32 years together. Pauline is survived by her sisters Barbara Jacinto & Jeanette Rodriguez. Her daughters Crystal Castillo & Tracy Miller. Her beloved granddaughters, Maribelle Guadiana Perez & Alyssa Miller.
