Patrick Joseph Canavan

Patrick Joseph Canavan Jr., 78, of Rimrock, Arizona, passed away unexpectedly on June 5, 2025. Born in Vallejo, California on September 14,1946, Patrick grew up in Newport Beach and attended California State University Fullerton where he obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology before enlisting in the US Army. Patrick proudly served his country and was honorably discharged, US Army SP4, and awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Sharp Shooter (Rifle). Following his military service, Patrick worked in various aspects of the insurance industry in fast-paced Southern California until retiring in 2007 to the peace and quiet of Northern Arizona.

Patrick is survived by his loving son Greg Canavan (wife Nichele); three grandchildren, Jasmine Haskins (husband Matt), Kelly Canavan, and Gage Canavan; and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Anna and Patrick Canavan Sr., sister Connie Rupiper, and granddaughter Nicole Canavan.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 10:00am at Prescott National Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
