Morgan Lee "Muggs" Carter

Mr. Morgan Lee "Muggs" Carter, aged 79, of Cottonwood, AZ, passed away January 7, 2024.   Born on December 16, 1944 in Phoenix, AZ. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather.  

Morgan had a passion for country music. He loved covering Johnny Cash songs on his guitar every chance he could. He disliked the city's hustle and bustle and eventually relocated to Cottonwood in the early 90's.

A military veteran, he served in the Army as an SP4 during the Vietnam War, stationed in Korea.

Throughout his career, Morgan worked in the water conditioning business. He found joy in camping and fishing and cherished his chihuahuas as his beloved companions.

He is survived by his daughters Dorrie Russo and Vickie Bennett, along with their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and William, and all of his siblings. 

A private interment service was held at the Prescott National Cemetery on April 4, 2024, attended by immediate family members.  

In lieu of flowers or cards, contributions can be made to the Vietnam Veterans of America in his name.
