Martha Verda Hultquist

July 21, 1915 — February 4, 2003

Martha Roberts Hultquist, 87, of Cottonwood, Arizona died at her home on February 4, 2003. Martha was born and raised in La Grange, Illinois. Martha loved horseback riding and often appeared in shows in the Chicago area where she won many trophies. She attended Lindenwood College where she was President of the College Chapters of the YWCA and Beta Chi Sorority. While working for the Pepsodent Company in Chicago, she met and married Victor Jerome Hultquist of Alcoa, Tennessee. She was a resident of Alcoa for many years before moving to Yuma, Arizona, where she raised her three children: Eric, Kim \u0026 Marla. She returned to the Knoxville, Tennessee, area for several years and resided in Morristown before retiring to Cotonwood, Arizona. She attended Verde Valley Presbyterian in Cottonwood and St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Clarkdale. Martha devoted her life to her family as a loving mother and faithful wife. She is survived by her husband Jerome, her children: Eric, Kim daughter in law: Erika and her grandchildren Jillian, Zane and Jordyn. We love and miss you Mom! Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 11:00 A.M. at the Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Avenue Cottonwood, Arizona. Pastor Kyle Weir of the Verde Valley Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery in Maryville, Tennessee.
