Lynda Sue Steele

Lynda Sue Steele (née Lenhart), 75, of Clarkdale, AZ passed away suddenly on December 3, 2023. Lynda was born on September 14, 1948, in Kingwood, West Virginia. While attending Kingwood High School, Lynda and her family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Cortez High School in 1966. Lynda raised her two children in the Metro Center area of Northwest Phoenix where she was an active member in the community as a school volunteer, Sunday School teacher, Boy and Girl Scout Den Mother and youth softball coach. Her career included administrative positions in aviation, food distribution and environmental services. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings, cooking, shopping, spending time outdoors and The Beatles. Lynda is survived by her husband, Marc Steele; son, Michael (Jennifer) Bishop; grandchildren Owen and Ava; daughter, Natalie (Kim Motto) Bishop; son, Jason Steele; sister, Beverly (Bob) Rose; brother, Ed (Pam) Lenhart. Lynda was preceded in death by her father, Charles Lenhart; mother, Alice Lenhart (née Koch); and brother Charles Lenhart Jr.
