Lee Charles Addis, 78 of Cottonwood, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Lee was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary; son Wily (Tamara) Addis of Cottonwood; grandsons Jake Addis of Tempe, AZ and Logan Addis of Spanish Fork, Utah; son Lee Jr (Clara) Addis of Flagstaff; sisters Katy, Susie, Annie and Betty and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Wily and Catherine Addis and sister Irene. Lee was an artist and an adventurer. After high school, he joined the US Navy and was stationed in Morocco which was the beginning of his lifetime of travel. Lee relocated to Arizona from Ohio where he started a family. He spent time as a firefighter but his true passion was art in many forms. He travelled the world taking photographs and collecting art and antiques. Lee chronicled life through black and white photography, leaving a legacy for family and friends to enjoy for years to come. He will be greatly missed but his spirit will live on through his many works of art. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arizona Hospice Foundation, 70 Bell Rock Plaza Ste.
