Joy & Shirley Fender

Joy G. Fender, 88, passed away on August 5, 2012. He was born on June 18, 1924 in Lisle, Illinois. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a salesman all of his life. His hobbies were riding his Harley Davidsons and restoring tractors. The family moved back to Arizona in 2015 to bring Dad back to where he loved to be. Shirley Fender, 81 of Cornville, passed away on September 14, 2018 at home. She was born on October 14, 1936 in Aurora, Illinois to Matt and Mathilda Bermes. The family was blessed to have such fantastic parents and they are now together again. They are survived by their children Jay, Ron, John (Teri), Janice and Jacalyn. A graveside service will be held at Sedona Cemetery on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 2:00pm with military honors for Joy. A Celebration of their lives will be held at the Fender Cornville Home following graveside services. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Sedona Arts Center.
