Joseph F. Muesch

Joseph F. Muesch, 75, of Cottonwood died July 29. The sole child of John Joseph and Minnie Muesch, Joe was born November 18, 1927 in Denver, Colorado. He lived in Trinidad, Colorado until 1959 when he moved to Las Vegas, New Mexico to start his career with Tom\u0027s Peanuts. He continued his Tom\u0027s career in Flagstaff, Arizona until he retired to Cottonwood, Arizona in 1995. He married Delores Maes of Trinidad, Colorado September 2nd, 1950. She was the love of his life. A World War II veteran, Joe served as a United States Army Honor Guard in the European Theater from 1945 to 1948. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion, Mark A. Moore Post 3 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. Joe was an avid outdoorsman who appreciated the beauty of nature. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family. Above all else he cherished his wife and family. Survivors include his wife, Delores Muesch; and their four children, Gary Muesch of Showlow, Jolene Ragsdale of Tualatin, Oregon, Mark Muesch and Denise Helm of Flagstaff. Grandchildren include Patty Jorgenson, Eric Muesch, Kristin and Theresa Ragsdale, Jason and Ethan Muesch and Deanna Sanderson. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren and his sister-in-law, Bette Scherer of Denver, Colorado. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5 in the Westcott Funeral Home from 5:30-7 PM . A Funeral Mass wil be held on Wednesday, August 6 in the Immaculate Conception Church, 700 N. Bill Gray Rd., Cottonwood at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 225 Grove Ave., Suite B, Prescott 86301.
