Joseph V. Cusumano, 89, of Camp Verde died February 6 in an autombile accident. He was born January 3, 1921 in East Cleveland, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Mirino Mary Cusumano. He served his country during World War II in the Army. He served in Northern France and Rhineland and throughout Central Europe. He was He was awarded the EAME Campaign Medal with three Bonze Stars. Mr. Cusumano retired after 20 years with the United States Postal Service. He was a dedicated vegetarian and also was an avid birdwatcher who travelled to many parts of the country and visited many National Parks. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday February 19 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 11:00 AM. He will be inurned at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix.
