Jane T. Gardner, 95, of Cottonwood died April 21, 2012. She was born January 26, 1917 in Reidsville, North Carolina, the daughter of James C. Gillie and Mamie Jane Gillie. She was was a graduate of Nothern Arizona University where she received a Bachelors Degree. Mrs. Gardner was a member of the Cottonwood Christian Assembly. She enjoyed china painting collecting dolls.She was a participant of the shoebox ministry and one year made 97 boxes. Shw was a co-founder of the Desert Christ Park in Yucca Valley, California. She taught pre-school for O.N.E.O. on the Navajo Reservation. She will be greatly missed as a wife, mother and grandmother. "Thank you for the wonderful memories and great example of beautiful Godly woman. She was preceded in death by her first husband Edward O. Garver. Mrs, Gardner is survived by her husband of twenty-five years Leo B. Gardner; a son Robert E. Garver; daughters Nancy J. Kennedy (David) of Sun City, Arizona, Susan C. McEuin of Oakland, Oregon and Tamara E. Zinnecker (Geof) of Glendale, Arizona; sisters Margie Farmer (Charles) of Greensboro, North Carolina and Pat Hodgin; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 26 in the Westcott Funeral Home from 10-11 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11 AM.
