Helen Louise Holt

March 22, 1930 — July 16, 2023

Helen Louise Holt was born in Yuma, Arizona, March 22, 1930; she passed away July 16, 2023, in Queen Creek, Arizona. Helen grew up in many areas of California, helping her parents in their cafes, as her father was a chef. Helen spent grades 9-12 at Big Bear High School in Big Bear Lake, California. It was in Big Bear Lake, that she met and married the “Love of Her Life” Stanley Holt, sharing 69 ½ happy years together. Their daughter, Debbie, was born in Big Bear Lake, but after a year, the family moved to the Los Angeles area, and four years later their son Tony was born. After moving the family to Banning, CA, they opened a carpet store, with Helen’s brother, Herb, where she worked in the store for many years. Helen enjoyed RV camping all over the US and Canada with Stan. She also loved being with her grandchildren, knitting, and playing games. In 1990 after retirement, she and Stan moved to Cottonwood, AZ, where they spent the next 30 years. Shortly after Stan’s passing, and following an illness, Helen moved to an assisted living home in Queen Creek, AZ to be near her daughter. It was there that she passed away, being cared for by two wonderful people, James, and Alisha. Preceded in death by her spouse, Stanley Lawrence Holt, a son, Anthony Lawrence Holt, and a grandson, David Holt Kjorvestad. Survivors include daughter, Deborah Holt Kjorvestad (Wayne), seven grandchildren, Christopher Kjorvestad (Carol), Joshua Kjorvestad (Kasie), Amanda Medina (Michael), Aleina Bishop (Joshua), Lesley Oulliber (Daniel), Shawna Holt, and Mason Holt. Also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Cottonwood, AZ on Wednesday, July 26, at 9:00 am. Following the memorial service Helen will be interred at Cottonwood Cemetery at 10:30 am, lying in rest with her husband.
