Harley H. Petterson

Harley Petterson, 83, passed away May 8. He was born in Grygla, Minnesota September 19, 1919. Served his country in the South Pacific during World War II. He was the recepient of two silver stars, one bronze star and two purple hearts. He was also nominated for the Congressional Medal of Honor. He was united in marriage to Berniece Freed on June 7, 1947. He is survived by his wife, Berniece; three children, Kim and his wife Barbara Petterson, Stewart Petterson, Mary Petterson and Lonnie; two grandchildren, Erik and Kristen. A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 12 in the Westcott Funeral Home, 1013 E. Mingus Ave, Cottonwood at 3 PM. Memorials may be sent to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, P. O. Box 2013, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
