Francis ''Fritz'' Ferdinand Tentschert

May 16, 1912 — February 4, 2003

Francis Ferdinand Tentschert, effectionately known as \u0027\u0027Fritz\u0027\u0027 was born May 16, 1912 to Frank and Emily Tentschert in Llewellyn, New Jersey. Fritz is survived by his loving wife, Betty, his son Paul of San Diego, two stepsons, Jay of Los Angeles and Jeff of Seattle, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Fritz was a successful businessman, who served his country as a Captain during World War II. He attained a degree in Civil Engineering and applied that knowledge to a succesful career in sales engineering and management, plus he served a stint as an ecological engineer in Phoenix. Later in life, Fritz began a Real Estate firm in California with second wife Betty. Fritz was a man who enjoyed family, friends, life and love. He and Betty were avid golfers and loved to socialize. Even in his final years and failing health, Betty and Fritz were always entertaining and going out. His longevity was due in part to the loving care given to him by Betty. For his ninetieth birthday last year, Fritz enjoyed a large party surrounded by most of his family and friends. He was happy to spend his final years in Sedona, a place he dearly loved. Fritz passed peacefully on February 4, 2003 with Betty at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Irving and Bob and a daughter, Lynn. Fritz Tentschert was loved and will be missed by many. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 15 in the Sedona Unity Church at 2 PM. Westcott Funeral Home of Cototnwood was entrusted with these arrangements.
