With joyous hearts, we celebrate the life of Fern Helena (Phillips) Gallegos, who was born on August 14, 1939, and joyfully took her place among the angels on June 5, 2026. A resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, Fern touched the lives of many with her zest for life and her deep love for butterflies, hummingbirds, and, most importantly, her family.

Fern's spirit was as vibrant as the colors of the butterflies she cherished, and her enthusiasm for life was as lively as the hummingbirds that flitted around her garden. She was a remarkable matriarch, dedicated to her family and fostering a sense of love, joy, and connection among all who knew her. Her warm laughter and compassionate heart will be forever remembered and cherished.

Fern was preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Nelly Phillips, her brother's Gene Phillips, John Phillips, Richard Phillips, Floyd Phillips, Joe Phillips, and her son Bob MacMillan. She is survived by her husband Art, her son Brint, her daughter Julie. Also 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great-grand Children, and 4 Great-great-grandchildren.

We invite family and friends to join us as we honor Fern's remarkable journey with a celebration of her life. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the VFW in Cottonwood, where we will share stories, laughter, and joy for Fern.
