Ed Roske passed away on March 26. He is survived by one sister, eight kids, 22 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Ed was born in Olivia, Minnesota on September 19, 1936. He started out as a farmer then became an entrepreneur. After visiting an uncle in Arizona he moved his 6 kids to the Verde Valley and began a series of businesses such a motels, trailer parks, storage units, and houses. In his later years he built businesses in Missouri and retired back in the Verde Valley. One example of his ability to make something out of nothing was in Missouri. He bought a brush covered lot next to a lake and worked weeks fighting ticks and chiggers clearing the land. When he was finished a passerby said, "If I knew this property was this nice I would have bought it myself." Happily married three times to strong women, Ed was known as someone who enjoyed hard work, family, friends and laughter. From practical jokes to family gatherings - he was the life of the party and will be missed greatly. An online guestbook is available to sign at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
