Diane L. Westcott

Diane Lee Westcott, 56, of Cotonwood died April 7, 2012. She was born August 26, 1956 in Cottonwood, the daughter of Howard and LaVerne Westcott. She was a graduate of Mingus Union High School in 1975. Diane worked for Poco Diablo Resort and Cliff Castle Casino in different positions. She was very active in the MMA-Modified Motorcycle Association; and the Verde Valley Moose Lodge in Clarkdale. Diane was a wonderful baker making many cakes for friends and family for their special events. She was a great cook and loved to sew, knit, crochet and needlepoint. An avid bingo player she also enjoyed darts. She will be remembered as a wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Diane was affectionately called "Mammoo" by her grandson Zachary. She and and Zachary had a special relationship and were each other\u0027s sidekick. They spent many days and afternoons together. Diane always was doing everything she could for her "Zachety". She was also a very special "Mammoo" to Zachary\u0027s sister Olivia. Diane was a Native American who raised a village. Diane was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by a son Joshua D. Westcott (Wendy) of Cottonwood; daughter in law Andrea Munoz; brothers, Mike Westcott (Roberta) of Clarkdale, Tony Westcott of Cottonwood, Pat Westcott (Debby) of Cottonwood; a sister Vicki Johnson (Jerry) of Washington; Robert Joy her companion for many years; one grandson; many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews and other extended family. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 12 in the Valley View Cemetery at 10 AM. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
