Clifford “Hall” Stoddard, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on September 26, 2026, in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Hall was born on September 17, 1935 to Clifford and Ruth Stoddard in Hillsdale Michigan. He married Ruth Dudley on September 14, 1959 in Erlangen, Germany

Hall Served in the Army and Army Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1964.

After discharge from the military, he worked a few years for the Boulder Police Force. After leaving the police department, he worked in the auto industry as a service and body shop manager. His love of cars and taking pictures of wrecked cars, led him to State Farm as a vehicle estimator. He retired from State Farm in 2000.

Hall was a member of Ducks Unlimited and participated in several sports activities, including basketball, softball and volleyball. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and playing golf. His love of golf took him to Phoenix to volunteer at the Charles Schwaab Senior PGA tournament for the past 10 years.

He was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, participating in the choir and as a porter. He was a member of the Verde Valley Voices and traveled to France to sing at the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Normandy.

Hall was a very kind, patient, loving husband and father. He was a great storyteller and loved to share past experiences. Sometimes more than once. After retirement, Ruth and Hall bought an RV and for 23 years traveled to 49 states, visiting state and national parks.

Preceded in death his parents, Clifford and Ruth Stoddard. Brother Michael Stoddard, Son-in-law, Edward Salazar.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Stoddard, children Toni Decklever, (James), Kathryn Gifford (Edmund), Dawn Stoddard, Scott Stoddard (Andrea), Steven Stoddard (Juliana), 20 Grandchildren and 20 Great-grandchildren

Rosary/Funeral service – Friday, Oct. 2, 2026 at 3:00pm Westcott Funeral Home

Funeral Mass: Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026 at 11am. Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish 700 North Bill Gray Road Cottonwood, AZ 86326 Light luncheon to follow.
