With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charles "Chuck" Murcko, age 73, on June 24 in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Chuck was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to the late John and Patricia Murcko. He was a devoted father to Christian of Denver, Colorado, and a loving brother to Tom (Susan) of Highland, New York, and Patricia (Lorenzo) of Pittsboro, North Carolina and several nieces and nephew.

Music was the heartbeat of Chuck's life. A talented bassist for more than four decades, he shared his passion with countless audiences while performing with several bands, including The Retros, Sky Daddy and The Pop Rocks. Whether playing blues, rock, or jazz, Chuck found great joy in making music and bringing people together. Though the music has been silenced, the memories of his performances, his talent, and the happiness he shared through every note will continue to bring comfort to all who knew and loved him.
