Barbara A. Florio Cardlin

Barbara A. Florio Cardlin, 60, of Cottonwood died July 14. She was born August 7, 1942 in Bronx, New York. Barbara was in charge of the food service at Mingus Union High School since moving to the Verde Valley from Phoenix three years ago. Barbara has always enjoyed working with young people and worked for the Boys and Girls Club while living in Phoenix. She is known for her wonderful sense of humor and laughter. She enjoyed spending most of her time with her children, grandchildren and family. She was a very special mother, sister and friend and will be deeply missed by everyone she touched with her love. She leaves her husband, Andrew Cardlin, three daughters, Leanna M. Carter of Ojai, California, Laurie Jacobson of Bozeman, Montana and Lisa Epply of Phoenix; one son, Thomas Voyter of San Diego, California; three daughter in laws, Mary Ellen Carter, Tracy Voyter and Sharon Cardlin; son in law Scott Jacobson; a sister Patrice Florio of Cottonwood; brother Thomas Florio of Lewiston, Maine; brother in law David Gaffin; a niece Danyelle Goldstein; a nephew Anthony Goldstein; and nine grandchildren. Donations in her memory may be made to Northern Arizona Hospice; 269 S. Candy Lane,Cottonwood,AZ 86326. Or the American Cancer Society; 2724 East Lakin, Suite 9, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. A gathering in her memory was held on July 19 in the Westcott Funeral Home.
