Alta M Bruce

Alta Beulah Bruce, 98 passed peacefully on November 29, 2025, at her home in Cottonwood.

Services will be private. A celebration of life to follow on a later date.

Alta was born in Tempe, AZ to Roy and Beulah Minter on May 31, 1927. She loved that her birthday fell on Memorial Day as it doubled the celebration.

Alta married Frank Bruce in December 1951and they had two children, Steve and Sherry (deceased). Alta and Frank worked together at the Bar D ranch in Rimrock and Happy Jack. For many years there were community get togethers for cattle round up to move them to and from the upper and lower pastures. Alta loved to cook pounds of beans and her famous Texas sheet cake for these occasions.

Alta also worked at Beaver Hollow in McGuireville. She loved working there and would always take Lindsey with her to the “Beep Beep” Store for supplies.

She is survived by her son Steve and son-in-law Dan Wolfe. Her grandchildren Lindsey Church (Ryan Church), Morgan Wolfe (Marissa Wolfe), Joshua Bullard (Allison Bullard), and Rachel Bruce. Here Great Grandchildren Yoseph, Rachel, Ezra, Lily, Hephzibah, Kylie, Hunter, Emma, Jaxon, and Gracie. Alta’s Heart was always full when her kids, grand and great grandkids were around.

The family would like to extend thanks to Maggie’s Hospice. They were wonderful to our Mother and Grandmother.
