Alfred Vedal Whatley, 53, of Clarkdale died September 28. He was born March 14, 1950 in La Junta, California. He worked as a lineman in construction. Mr. Whatley was a member of the Garden Community Church. He leaves his wife Gloria Whatley of Clarkdale; a daughter, Sonia Whatley of Denver, Colorado; a brother, Benito Whatley of Tucson and Leroy Whatley, Jr. of El Paso, Texas; and two grandchildren. A memorial service was held October 11. Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family with these arrangemets.
