William Healy

William Healy, 74, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2007. William was born November 7, 1932 to Richard R. and Cora (Hofmeister) Healy in Hillsboro, Wisconsin, where he grew up and graduated from Hillsboro High School. Following high school, he attended a trade school where he became skilled as an Electrician Aircraft Planner. He was very proud to have served his country as an EMFN in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. William received the Korean Service Medal with two stars. William then returned to his profession, and dedicated 25 years of his life to McDonald Douglas and was the planner of the DC-9 and DC-10s. Among many of William's interests some of his favorites were hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, and traveling, as well as, arts and crafts-particularly woodworking. William was a loving and caring husband, dad, son, uncle, and nephew. He was a very good friend, and will be remembered as the one who was always there for the ones he loved. He is preceded in death by his parents; William leaves behind his wife of 13 years, Lorenza Healy of Memphis, Tennessee; his sons, Abel A. Fernandez with his wife, Claudia E. of San Marcos, California, and Mario Fernandez with his wife, Danetta of Peoria, Arizona; his daughter, Teresa Tagaloa of Foothill Ranch, California; 8 grandchildren; as well as, many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 12:00pm at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Camp Verde, where William was a faithful member. Following local services, William will be taken home to Hillsboro, Wisconsin where he will be laid to rest at the Mount Vernon Cemetery.
