Rose Snyder was called home and passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 11 after a prolonged illness. Rose was born on April 1, 1921 in Flagstaff, Arizona to Elidia and Agapito Magana; the seventh of 11 surviving children. Rose married Harry L. Snyder from Mount Pleasant, PA in 1940 and they moved to Connecticut for a short period before returning to Flagstaff in 1943 where they made their home and raised their seven children; Rosemary McVety, Eileen (Bunny) Scott, Harry Snyder III (Sonny) and wife Laura Engebretson, Peter D. Snyder and wife Maryann, Lawrence G. Snyder and wife Christy and John D. Snyder. A daughter Marjorie (Peggy) Hall passed away. Rose joins her husband of 53 years, Harry who preceded her in death. She is survived by her six children; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces and three siblings. They resided in Flagstaff for 47 years before relocating to the Verde Valley in 1990. Rose was a homemaker and loved to garden, do crafts and had numerous collections. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cottonwood at 10:00am followed by a celebration of Life Reception at the American Legion Post 25 from 11:00am-3:00pm.
