Lila Bertino

Lila Bertino, 97, of Cottonwood died December 1. She was born May 17, 1912 in Grant, Nebraska, the daughter of Frederick and Cora Edwards. She worked as nurse for many years. She was a member of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Bertino will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed beyond words. She was preceded in death by a son, Vern Duffey. She leaves sons Howard of Cottonwood and Larry(Charlotte) Duffey of Santa Rosa, California ; a daughter Helen Makinster of Cottonwood; a brother Charles Edwards (Doris) of Ogalla, Nebraska; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Friday, December 4 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 3 PM followed by a service at 3:30 PM. Services will also be held in Grant, Nebraska with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
