Larry Doughty

January 25, 1950 — September 19, 2016

Larry Doughty passed away Sept. 19, 2016 after an eighteen month long battle with cancer. Larry was born in Great Bend, Kansas and lived in Wyoming, New Mexico and Arizona. He enjoyed the outdoors, riding his Harley-Davidson and spending time with his family. A natural born mechanic, his family says "he could fix anything" and his wife comments "If you cut him, he bleeds Diesel". Larry worked as a mechanic all of his life and was a dedicated, hard-working man whose goal was to provide the best for his family. Larry is survived by his beloved wife Connie and was father of Kevin (Carolyn) and Cheryl (Nicolas); grandfather of twins Cole and Thomas (Kayla) and Ian and great-grandfather of Addison. He is also survived by two brothers; Les (Janet) and David; sister-in-law Diane (Mark); brother-in-law John (Sandra); mother-in-law Shirley; former daughter-in-law Penny and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Monday, September 26 at 11:00am at the Valley Baptist Church in Apache Junction. A service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at 1:00pm at Prescott National Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona. In lieu of flowers please make conations to either: Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 or Valley Baptist Church, 555 S. Mountain Road, Apache Junction, AZ 85208.
