Larry Burgess

Larry Burgess of Cottonwood passed away on Friday, January 18, 2014. He was 59 years old. Larry was born on January 12, 1955 in Salt Lake City, UT to William and Zona Burgess. They moved their family to Cottonwood when Larry was very young. He attended school here, graduating from Mingus Union High School, and he stayed in the beautiful Verde Valley until his death. Larry worked at Safeway for over 10 years. He was known as a giving and generous man who always had wisdom and knowledge to share with others. He enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his friends and family and he was an excellent cook. Larry was preceded in death by his sister Loretta and his brother Jeff. He is survived by his aunts Carol and Afton and by his life companion Paula Foreman and the children and grandchildren they loved together.
