Irene McDonald

Irene McDonald, 102 of Sedona and born in Little Chute, Wisconsin on April 10, 1909, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011. She graduated as a registered nurse from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Oshkosh, Wisconsin with an associate degree from the Milwaukee Children\u0027s Hospital. Much of her career was spent in United Verde Hospital in Jerome, AZ and as a school nurse which she loved both in the Flagstaff Elementary Schools and in the Northern Arizona University Health Department. She was a member of the NAU Retirees, the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Gallup and P.E.O. Chapter C in Gallup. Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis J. McDonald. She is survived by daughters Janet Kauzlaric and Martha Mackler (John) and many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Irene enjoyed writing poetry, reading, sewing, gardening, and walking as a physical activity. She will be remembered for her positive and friendly attitude. Services are pending.
