Gene Bradley

Gene Bradley, of Cottonwood, loving husband, father, grandfather and greatgrand-dad, and longtime resident of Holbrook, Arizona passed away February 12, 2013 at his home in Cottonwood, Arizona. Born December 3, 1924 in Prescott, Arizona, Gene attended elementary schoool there then moved to Holbrook where he graduated from High School. After graduation in 19944, during World War II, he joined the Navy and was part of the 23rd CB Battalion, serving in the Pacific. Discharged at the end of of the war, he went to Holbrook and met and married Shirley Aldrich. They moved to Lubbock, Texas where Gene attended Texas Technological College. They moved back to Holbrook where Gene worked for his father, R. P. Bradley. There they had three children. Gene took over the Union Oil Company business when his father retired. Upon Gene\u0027s retirement, his son John took over and still runs Bradco, Inc. Gene and Shirley were married 66 years and enjoyed traveling, boating and fishing with family and friends. Gene enjoyed reading, carpentry, and had a love for model trains. Gene is survived by his wife Shirely; three grown children, daughter Connie (Larry) Doughty, Diane (Mark) Warren, son John (Sandy) Bradley, grandsons Kevin (Penny) Doughty, Christopher Warren, Brian Bradley, Michael Bradley, granddaughter Cheryl (Nick) Zack, and great grandsons, Thomas \u0026 Cole Doughty and Ian Zack. A military funeral service will be held at the Precott National Cemetery later this year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 203 S.
