Fred Lee Newton, 50, of Cottonwood passed away May 1, 2011. He was born September 13, 1960 in Flagstaff , the son of Stacy Newton and Mabel Roe. He served his country in the Army where he was stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas and Germany . He worked for Alexander Ford in Murfreesboro , Tennessee and locally for Reese \u0026 Sons Tire \u0026 Auto Center as a mechanic. Fred had served as a children\u0027s church pastor. He enjoyed watercolor painting, was a pool shark, enjoyed magic tricks and will always be remembered for his joke telling. The world will miss his smile and humor and the joy he had for life. God will enjoy his smile. He was preceded in death by his father Stacy Newton. Fred leaves his wife of 11 years, Donna Newton; sons, Justin Newton, Richard Stickney (Seanna), Lee Stickney (Rebecca); daughter Jennifer Newton, all of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; his mother Mabel Roe of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; sisters Cheryl Gartner (George) of Poulsbo, Washington, Lora Roe of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Linda Olson (Eric) of Winslow, Arizona and Susie Lynch (Pat) of Summit, New Jersey. Services have been set. The memorial service will be held on SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2011 AT 2:00PM at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
