Faith Turner January 25, 1918 September 10, 2010 Faith Freeborn was born to James and Lora Freeborn of Miltonvale, Kansas. She graduated from Miltonvale Wesleyan Academy in 1936. While there she met Meredith Turner of South Dakota. They were married in Appleton, IA on July 2, 1939. They settled in Sedona, AZ in 1968 where Faith lived until moving to Glencroft Retirement Center in Glendale, AZ in 2004. Meredith and Faith pastured Wesleyan and Pilgrim Holiness Churches for 40 years in Nebraska, Kansas, Wisconsin, Indiana, Louisiana and Arizona. They planted new churches or pastured in Winslow, Prescott, Lake Montezuma and their last church was in Sedona, AZ in 1974. Meredith retired from the pastorate in 1980 due to illness. Faith Freeborn Turner was the author of many short stories in church publications and published one novel, "A Torch Held High" in 1942. She served as the western area director for the Women\u0027s Missionary Society of the Wesleyan Church for many years. Faith is survived by her four children; Sherill Byrn of Peoria, AZ, Alice Orr of Sun City, AZ, Lois Diedrich of Denver, CO and James Turner of Albuquerque, NM. She has 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Faith has two sisters; Lois Peterson of Eau Claire, WI and Betty Freeborn of Glendale, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Meredith Turner in 1989, her sister, Hope Reed and her brother James Freeborn. Services for Faith will be at the Christ Center Wesleyan Church at 580 Brewer Rd., Sedona, AZ on Friday, September 17, 2010. Viewing begins at 10:15 a.m. and the service at 11:00am with interment following at Sedona Memorial Park on Hwy 179. Memorials may be given to Global Partners, The Wesleyan Church, P.O.
