Eugene Quenzer

Eugene Quenzer, 81, of Bend, Oregon and formerly of Cottonwood died July 26 in Bend. He was born November 19, 1921 in Herried, South Dakota. He was a retired accounting clerk for the South Dakota Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Verde Baptist Church. An Army veteran of Wolrd War II, he served in the 87th Signal Company. Mr. Quenzer leaves a daughter, Joyce Gerlach of Clarkdale; two sons, Davis Quenzer of Bend, Oregon and Douglas Quenzer of Webster, Wisconsin; a sister Rose Wanner of Eureka, South Dakota; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9 in the Verde Baptist Church at 10:00 am. A graveside service will be held at Valley View at 9:00 a.m. Westcott Funeral Home is assisting the family with these arrangements.
