Dina Leonard

Dina Leonard, 93 of Cottonwood, passed away on June 26, 2011. She was born on September 5, 1917 in San Francisco, CA to Ernesto Fontana and Zelmira Pierazzi Fontana. Dina attended school in Cowell and Concord, CA then went on to St. Francis School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in Pittsburg County Hospital and private doctors practices. Dina belonged to the Catholic Daughters of America for 60 plus years and worked at a senior center in Antioch, CA. Dina was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Parish. Dina enjoyed dancing with her husband of over 70 years. She also loved to travel extensively with him and crocheting. She was a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, very personable, loved talking with people and did not know a stranger. Dina is preceded in death by her husband George Leonard and daughter Andrea Leonard. She is survived by sons Jeff Leonard (Valerie) of Cottonwood and Bill Leonard (Claudia) of Kingsport, TN and daughter Jean Ogburn of San Andreas, CA. Services were held.
