Cruz Chavez

Cruz Chavez Jr., 81 of Clarkdale, passed away on May 12, 2013. He was born on January 21, 1932 in Hachita, New Mexico to Cruz Chavez Sr. and Frances Roman Chavez. Cruz attended Globe schools for 11 years. He worked for Cottonwood Lumber and the Clarkdale-Jerome School. Cruz will be lovingly missed by all his family and friends. Cruz was preceded in death by parents Cruz Sr. and Frances. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bea Chavez; sons Joe Chavez (Margaret) of Glendale, Tony Chavez of Clarkdale and Cruz P. Chavez (Lynda) of Clarkdale; daughter Elizabeth Ontiveros (Robert) of Clarkdale; sister Mary Martinez (Lorenzo) of Apache Junction; 25 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will take place on Saturday May 25, 2013 at 10:30 am at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood.
